so i’m not that into twitter… i haven’t seen its use thus far… but apparently derekwebb tweeted this recently:
“finishing lyrics for an electro-industrial do wop song about fred phelps”
There is something to be excited about…
And the title is my sorry attempt at creating a pun where one shouldn’t be that will probably be offensive to someone or another…
Rev. 21:4 says, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
So the former things have passed. No more mourning, crying or pain… well, except for those people who are weeping and gnashing their teeth for all eternity in hell…
Col. 1:19-20 says “For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”
So, in the end, all things will be reconciled to God, right? oh… except for those people who will be burning eternally in hell…
In the end, God will be victorious over sin and death. That is clear in Scripture. But how is that consistent with the belief that sinners will be forever, continuously experiencing the “second death?”
In other words, how is God’s victory over death consistent with the traditional view of hell?
